Virtual Tissue Simulator (VTS)

VTS Optimization Layer Analysis Layer Solver Layer Problem Definition Layer Visualization Layer The development of the Virtual Tissue Simulator (VTS) is meant to provide a modular and scalable computational platform, the 'Virtual Tissue Simulator' (VTS), to provide an integrated suite of computational tools to define, solve, visualize, and analyze relevant forward and inverse radiative transport problems in biomedical optics.

The design of the VTS is modular and composed of four layers that carry out (a) Problem Definition; (b) (forward problem) Solver; (c) Analysis; and (d) Optimization (inverse problem) tasks. The Visualization layer facilitates input and output associated with each of these layers.
