This module of the VTS will provide capabilities for:

• (a) optical/physiological property recovery;
• (b) image reconstruction; and
• (c) design of optical measurements and instrumentation.

Based on the problem specified in the Problem Definition Layer the user will be able to supply either experimental data, or solver data combined with simulated experimental noise, to determine the ability of a given measurement configuration to provide the recover optical/physiological properties or render an optical image with sufficient fidelity. A graphical representation of this layer is shown below.
