A Photon Hitting Density (PHD) map on the Fluence/Interrogration Panel of the GUI helps to understand how the light interrogates the tissue for a given probe design.

The first Graphical User Interface (GUI) application of the Virtual Tissue Simulator was written using Microsoft Silverlight and was a web-based application. This technology was retired in 2020 so a few years prior to that date, we ported the application to Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF). The VTS application is available as a download and has the same functionality as the original web-based application.
